Collision Free Optimized Motion Planning - click here for more info

I have developed a collision-free path and trajectory planning algorithm for industrial robotic manipulators, such as the UR5, specifically for bin picking applications. This algorithm are versatile and applicable to multiple robotic manipulators with fewer than 7 degrees of freedom (DOF). I implemented a novel collision-free path planning method using Screw-axis path planning combined with IKFast. In another algorithm, I have implemented an RL-based approach to for collision-free motion planning. Both approaches achieve optimal end-effector movement and smooth motion with Cubic Spline trajectory generation, outperforming the high-level move commands of Universal Robots in terms of smoothness for executing trajectories with lot’s of waypoints. Collaborating effectively with a team of four, I demonstrated strong teamwork and adaptability. Additionally, I developed a C++ API encapsulating collision-free path planning and trajectory generation algorithms for various industrial manipulators, including those from ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, Kinova, and Universal Robots. To ensure code reliability, I am developing unit tests to be executed on the C++ API using the Google Test framework. Furthermore, I am implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, enhancing software quality and accelerating release cycles.
